1 Registering & Activating Your Account
Q. I registered for an account but I still cannot log-in.
A. Check your email inbox or spam/junk folders. We require that you verify your email address after registering. An email was sent to the email account that you used to register. If you do not see the email in your Inbox, then check your Spam/Junk folder. Be sure to add the domain "beatbulletin.com" to your email's Safe Senders list.
2 Downloading
Q. How do I download beats?
A. There is a download button in the playlist next to each beat. The button looks like an arrow inside of a circle.
Q. I cannot download anymore beats!
A. As a Standard Member you will be able to download a limited number of beats everyday (around 24). Our download accounting system is not yet fully developed, so you may experience some variations in service over the next few weeks. We'll get this fixed as soon as we can.
Q. The beats are not downloading!
A. If downloading is not working, you may not have "Java" installed. Many websites require Java to permit certain functions to work. To check whether you have Java installed, visit
Java.com. You’ll also be able to download and install the Java software from there.
Q. How do I download free beats?
A. After you register for a free membership and log-in, just click on the download icon in the playlist. There is an individual download button to the right of each song entry in the playlist.
Q. Where do the beats download on my computer?
A. If your browser doesn't prompt you for a save location, then your downloads usually go into the Downloads folder located here: C:\Users\your-name\Downloads, whereas “your-name” is your Windows login name.
3 Licensing and Royalty-Free
Q. Can I sell and perform my songs that I recorded using TruMental.com beats?
A. Yes. You can use our beats to create any type of derivative art and then sell, perform, or otherwise distribute your finished work in any way you'd like. Just make sure you give us credit; see our
License Agreement for further details.
4 Producers
Q. Who are the producers?
A. All of our producers are independent producers with varying levels of experience within the music industry. We hand-select every producer to ensure consistent quality to our members.
Q. Can I become a TruMental.com producer?
A. If you are a professional beat maker with above average talent and consistent attention to detail, then submit your portfolio for consideration. We require a high standard for our producers in order to ensure high quality beats for our members. There are only a few producer slots available. Submit to "hear.my.beats@beatbulletin.com"
Q. Do TruMental.com producers receive payment for their beats?
A. Absolutely. Although our members are never required to pay a cent to download and use beats, we do reimburse each producer monetarily based from the popularity of their beats.
5 Beats
Q. Are all of the beats FREE?!
A. Yes, they are all FREE, Royalty-Free, and Unlimited Use! See our
License Agreement.
Q. Can I get a beat tracked-out (stems)?
A. The availability of tracked out beats (stems) are typically reserved for our premium memberships; however, since premium access is currently unavailable through our site, each request will be assessed a $10 fee.
Contact us to make a request.
Q. Can I get a beat in .wav/.aiff format?
A. The availability of .wav/.aiff (lossless) formats are typically reserved for our premium memberships; however, since premium access is currently unavailable through our site, each request will be assessed a $5 fee.
Contact us to make a request.
Q. I want Exclusive rights to a beat!
A. Once beats are released onsite, they cannot be purchased for exclusive use since that would be unfair for our members. However, due to popular demand, we can create an exclusive REMIX ($500+) tailored to your preference. Otherwise, our seasoned producers can design an instrumental from SCRATCH ($1,000+) to perfectly complement your project. Inquire at exclusives@beatbulletin.com. When considering these options, please note that 95% of projects don't require exclusive rights. We prefer to keep it free so unless you have a unique project, free, royalty-free, non-exclusive, and unlimited use is all you need. Enjoy!
Q. How do I give credit to the producer?
A. We ask that you always credit us as producers of your finished work. For example, "Produced by CHill of http://TruMental.com". You can place this in the description area of your video/audio post. You can also place this in the credits of your video or even give us a shout out on your song. Placing a link back to our website alongside your work is important for helping us increase in popularity. With greater popularity comes more producers, more beats, and more free features for you to enjoy! You are just as important to this as we are.
